Intens elegant Cabernet Franc fra Mendozas berømte vinmarker

  • The 2022 Cabernet Franc is high-toned, fresh, and mineral-driven, with supple tannin and unobtrusive oak. Medium-bodied, it's well put together and a screaming value for the modest price. This will age well given its natural mouthwatering acidity and firm structure.

  • The 2022 Cabernet Franc contains 10% Malbec from Gualtallary. This aged for 15 months in foudres (50%), barrels (25%) and tanks (25%). Its aromas include soft ash, herbs, oak and rosehip on the nose. This is dry and juicy, with gentle chalk and vibrant fruit on the palate. The finish reveals a touch of pomegranate.

  • Wet earth and elderberries shape the nose with a touch of dark chocolate. The velvety palate is medium- to full-bodied with a hint of cedar that complements the polished dark fruit. Approachable and exceptional for an entry-level wine. Drink now or hold.

  • One of the wines that has turned El Enemigo into a global phenomenon, this cleverly marketed Cabernet Franc includes 10% Malbec for an extra layer of complexity. Graphite, rose petal and jarilla aromas are an appealing introduction to a smooth, sweetly fruited palate of chocolate, black cherry and patisserie spices.

  • A very good approach to cabernet franc, from a winery that was one of the pioneers in promoting the variety in the modern era of Argentine wine. From fruits from Gualtallary, more than 1,300 meters above sea level in the Uco Valley, on limestone-rich soils. It has sweet and succulent fruits, but also herbal notes and, above all, a firm, somewhat wild tannin structure, closely linked to the type of textures that are usually found in calcareous wines in the Mendoza mountains.

  • 93P: Sourced from Gualtallary's Adrianna Vineyard, the 2022 Cabernet Franc contains 10% Malbec and underwent a 60-day maceration and aged for 15 months in a mix of foudre, barrique and tank. Opening with a dark-fruited, floral and spice-inflected nose, the palate offers dramatic richness tempered by a sturdy, upright, mineral-driven core. It concludes with an explosive, long and layered finish that balances vibrant energy and staining intensity. This is a strikingly overperforming example of the variety that should develop beautifully in the cellar.
